Today we went to the design center. Our journey through was kind of jumbled, but by the end I think we picked some great options.
We started with cabinets. They had so many options to choose from. Light colored wood,
Dark colored wood. Even a blue color. But I wanted something a little less ornate. We found this one with a simple boarder.
I like the simplicity of the white cabinet, but was hoping for a more natural looking wood,
Like this one
Ken like the white cabinet color,
but I liked the natural looking color. We decided to move to counter tops to see which one matched something we liked.
This counter top we both liked and both counter tops matched it.
So we moved to flooring to see if that would help decide which cabinets to choose.
I really like dark flooring so . . .
We compromised, dark floors and white cabinets.
Look at how much fun we are having!
We really liked the dark wood flooring but what about tile options. This one would look great in a bath room.
Speaking of bathrooms, we loved these bathroom fixtures.
Here is what it will look like on countertops
We couldn't find a matching kitchen faucet, this was the closest thing we could find. Maybe we will upgrade it later.
Should we upgrade the toliets? Ken looks pretty good on this model.
What do you think about dark cabinetry in the bathrooms? Dark cabinets don't really match this tile though,
They look better with this color tile.
But I think we should readdress the counter tops, this one looks nice,
or this one,
Or this one,
We like the creaminess of this counter top but it doesn't really match the floors we picked out.
We were having trouble finding good counter/cabinet/tile flooring combinations. We weren't in love with this combo so we dug around some more and found this counter top,
We loved it instantly,And look at how well it matches the cabinets and the flooring we picked out.
Now we needed to decided if we wanted painted white cabinets or antique white cabinets. We went with the painted white.
But it doesn't really match the tile we liked for the bathrooms.
We found this linoleum that matched perfectly. I know I know, it's just linoleum but what ev' It looks fabulous.
We decided to look at more bathroom floor tile options and found this gem.
This sink comes standard with the counter tops we've picked. Isn't that awesome! I love how it looks and I think it will match the bath fixtures we picked out.
So many choices. Now, let's move on to the kitchen sink. This one comes standard,
This is the first level upgrade
And this one is the second level upgrade. This is also my favorite, and the one we picked
This is the standard door,
While looking at the kitchen options we found these fun upgrades, tip out tray any one?
Look at this awesome hardware. I think it will match all our other choices very well even though it is not the same finish
And the standard door features, I think we are just going to go with these features.
But I would love to get these. Maybe we will try to find them online and upgrade our selves.
This is the standard molding. I love how simple it is and I think it will match all the other simple design choices we've made.
We chose to go with this railing to divide the living room from the stairs.
Even ken likes it.
We were pretty confident with the choices we made, until the tile rep showed up. Then we found this,
Look at how well it matches all our other choices.
And it is long and lean, beautiful
While we were looking at the tile, we found this pallet of tiles, I think any one of these would make an excellent back splash in the kitchen.
But I think we are just going to go with white to match the cabinets
Next we had to choose a paint color. This was the hardest choice of the day I thought. We decided to go with something light and simple.
To wrap up here are our main choices: White cupboards, grey quartz counter tops, creamy grey tile for the bathrooms and laundry, and beautiful dark slate tile planks for the hallway, kitchen, and dining.
What a fun day we had!
